Slave Steel is a metal band founded in Rome and based in London since 2014. Their impetuous, dark, and sharp sound delves into the tension between opposing perspectives. The band explores the contradictions of human nature—our capacity for both wonder and destruction—within a world shaped by conflict. Through recurring parallels between science and abstraction, their lyrics and music weave a primordial chant of resilience and change.
In 2021 the band released the videos Ogre Cage, Shut, Blessed is the Mess and Dream of Decadence. The singles have been recorded & mixed at Rogue Studios (London, UK) and mastered at Fascination Street Studios (Stockholm, Sweden). The band capped the year with an invitation to play Bloodstock Open Air, earning recognition for their striking video production.
In 2023 Slave Steel signed with WormHoleDeath Records, announced the new album In Fieri with the single Wake Up The Atom, and shook the WTF Rock Festival stage supporting Sepultura.2024 saw the release of F(r)ail, 2 Hours, Sorry About Death, and the In Fieri title track alongside the full album, once again produced at Rogue Studios and mastered at Firmline Network (Los Angeles, USA), supported by shows around the UK and Europe. In 2025 Slave Steel entered a new chapter, beginning production on their next record.
